Ultrasonic welding

Ultrasonic plastic welding is the joining or reforming of thermoplastics through the use of heat generated from high-frequency mechanical motion (more than 16Khz).
For joining injection moulded thermoplastic parts, they need to have the same chemical composition.
There are more suitable materials for ultrasonic welding such as ABS and PMMA, but also other materials with amorphous structure as PS, AS, Noryl, Polycarbonate, PVC and Polysulphone can easily be welded unlike materials with a semi-crystalline structure like PE, PP, NYLON, Polyoxymethylene.
Ultrasonic welding guarantees a high melting precision level.
It can also be used to weld metal components to plastic materials.
